Thanda Safari

Depart on an overnight to Johannesburg and connect with the morning flight to Richards Bay. You will be driven to Thanda Private Game Reserve, near Hluhluwe, once the private hunting ground of Shaka, the legendary Zulu king.

Stay three nights in a 220m2 luxury suite overlooking the game reserve at the five-star Thanda Main Lodge. ‘Thanda’ is the Zulu word for love and, with a private boma, infinity pool, sundeck, and sala for each of the nine villas, it’s hard to think of a more romantic spot. After the final morning game drive and breakfast, you have a private road transfer to Thonga Beach Lodge on the beautiful, unspoiled Maputaland coast. You have six nights to luxuriate in one of just 12 round luxury chalets hidden in the coastal dune forest. Wander along miles of wilderness beach or enjoy the splendid sea view from your bed.

Your stay includes meals, kayaking on Lake Sibiya, a boat cruise with sundowners, snorkelling, swimming and wilderness walks.
